Accessibility

Reviewed August 24, 2026

Wild-cat discovery should be open to as many people as possible. Zoo-EV is building this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and treats accessibility as continuing work, not a one-time badge.

01

What the site supports

The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-operable links and controls, visible focus indicators, a skip-navigation link, descriptive alternative text, text labels for essential actions, reduced-motion preferences, and responsive layouts that do not depend on a single screen size.

02

Images and scientific content

Meaningful images include alternative text, and published photographs distinguish wild, captive, and archival context. Scientific names, conservation status, sources, and image provenance remain available as text rather than being communicated only through color or imagery.

03

Third-party destinations

Zoo-EV links to PayPal, social platforms, scientific databases, PDFs, and other external resources. Their accessibility is controlled by their respective owners. If an external source presents a barrier, contact Zoo-EV and we will try to provide the essential information in another usable form.

04

Report a barrier

If something is difficult to see, hear, understand, navigate, or operate, email info@Zoo-EV.org. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and—if you are comfortable sharing it—the browser or assistive technology involved.
