A census records animals through a defined method. A documented minimum may miss animals that were not detected.
Estimated
An estimate uses evidence and assumptions. Keep uncertainty, age class and geography beside the number.
Unknown
Sometimes reviewed evidence cannot support a responsible global total. That is different from a blank field nobody has researched.
